PILATES FOR BEGINNERS
Core, core, core!
Pilates is a mind body modality, focusing on movement and breathing. At StretchPilates.fit the focus first is on core connection/engagement and how it relates to movement. Pilates is a whole body exercise, executed in precise movements, this keeps your body in proper alignment, which is key to keeping all muscles long and lean. When your body is in proper alignment, no muscles are overstretched or pulled to tight. Everything is working as it should. A tight muscle is a weak muscle and a weak muscle is a tight muscle.
If you have never taken a class or had a formal assessment, 4 private, personal sessions are recommended for proper form and basic exercises.
