Therapist-Assisted Stretching

Stretch Therapy Designed Around Your Needs.

Active isolated stretching (AIS) is a therapist-assisted technique designed to stretch and strengthen individual muscles within a muscle group. At Stretch Pilates, our stretch therapy sessions use active isolated stretching to support flexibility, mobility, and proper alignment. During each session, the client uses the supporting muscle to move the opposing muscle toward its end range of motion. The therapist then gently assists the movement, briefly holding the stretch before returning to a neutral position and repeating with a slightly greater range of motion. This method can help lengthen fascia, improve muscle function, support flexibility training, mobility, and stretching, and improve posture. Core training may also be included because core strength is essential for long, lean muscles and proper alignment.

Private Pilates Training Sessions

Strengthen, Tone, and Move Better

Stretch Pilates provides private Pilates training with an emphasis on functional strength, core stability, and movement quality. This approach supports everyday activities by helping the body move with more control, balance, and ease. Pilates helps restore natural function in the spine and joints while balancing the muscles. It is a strong option for functional fitness training, core stability training, posture work, and injury-prevention exercises. Whether you are an athlete, active adult, or recovering from an injury, private sessions can be tailored to your goals.

Intermediate and Advanced Reformer Pilates Classes

Reformer Training for Strength, Balance, and Flexibility

The benefits of Reformer Pilates classes are wide-ranging, from improved strength and posture to better balance, flexibility, and body control. From private lessons to small group sessions, Stretch Pilates can help you work toward your personal fitness goals. For clients who demonstrate proper form, breathing, and previous Pilates experience, intermediate and advanced reformer classes are available. These reformer workouts may be performed lying down, sitting, kneeling, or standing on the carriage, creating a challenging and effective full-body strength workout.

You must take 10 private classes before joining group classes. Depending on your experience level this may be reduced.
