Private Pilates Training in Excelsior, MN

Private Pilates training gives you a session built around your body, not the pace of a class. At Stretch Pilates, private sessions are the required starting point for every client, a series of 10 one-on-one sessions on our Bounce Body Reformers with Cadillac Conversion that build the proficiency you need before joining a group class. Whether you’re new to Pilates, coming back after time away, or ready for more specific support with form, strength, alignment, balance, and mobility, your instructor can slow things down, walk you through the equipment, and tailor each session to what you need that day.

Start With One-on-One Instruction

Private training gives your instructor time to see how you move before building your session plan. You might work on how you stand, breathe, use your core, set up on the reformer, or respond to different exercises.

Individual assessment helps your instructor find the right starting point for you. You won’t have to keep up with a class, so you’ll have time to learn the basics, ask questions, and understand what each movement is meant to do.

Training Built Around Your Goals

Your sessions can be shaped around specific goals, whether you want to get stronger, improve alignment, work on balance, build mobility, or get ready for group reformer classes. Your instructor can adjust spring resistance, body position, exercise order, and pace as you go.

With goal-based programming, private training isn’t a canned workout that you repeat the same way every time. As your strength, awareness, and comfort with the equipment grow, your instructor can keep building on what you’re ready to do next.

Your Required Path to Group Classes

Every client at Stretch Pilates starts with private training, a required series of 10 sessions that gives you time to learn the equipment, understand breathing, and build proper form before moving into a group class. This applies whether you’re new to Pilates or simply new to our studio.

Private sessions can also help if you’re returning to movement after a long break. You’ll work at your own pace with your instructor until you and your instructor agree you’re ready for group Pilates.

Build Strength, Alignment, Balance, and Confidence

Private training gives you direct feedback as you practice, so you can notice small changes in posture, core engagement, weight shift, and control. Over time, those details make Pilates easier to understand and more useful in everyday movement.

As your sessions progress, you’ll build strength, improve alignment, work on balance, and feel more confident using the reformer and other Pilates equipment.
